The Business Academy Bexley was the flagship Academy for the labour Government. The Academy opened in 2002 by then Secretary for Education Charles Clarke and Tony Blair. The Academy was sponsored by 3E’s Enterprises and the Minerva Group who donated £2m. The Academy was nominated for the Sterling Prize in 2004. Nexus Associates appointed by 3E’s worked closely with Valarie Bragg 3E’s Chief Executive on the educational ICT vision and ICT specification for this early pioneering Academy. It was one of the first education sites in the country to boast projectors and Interactive white boards in every classroom. Campus wide wireless services along with mobile devises and film studio facilities.
